Matt Pokora or simply M. Pokora (real name Matthieu Tota), born September 26, 1985 in Strasbourg, France, is a French R&B/Pop singer-songwriter of Polish descent.
Pokora became famous when he won the third French season of the reality show 'Popstars' as a member of the boy band "Linkup"; they went on to have a #1 single in France entitled "Mon Étoile" (My star). After a while, the group disbanded and Pokora released his two solo studio album entitled, "M. Pokora and Player."
Pokora had hit singles with "Elle me contrôle," "Showbiz," "Pas Sans Toi," "Oh la la (Sexy Miss)," "Mal de Guerre" and along a duet with Ricky Martin, "It's Alright."
Pokora went on to win the NRJ Music Award for Francophone Male Artist of the Year of 2006. He is reportedly working on his third album in the USA with Timbaland.
